DOPE PRODUCTION RECORDS was founded in 2000 by J. Peterson to showcase the highly talented cities of the Northwest, at which time THA SYNDICATE (Twin Brothers) signed to D.P.R. and launched a string of releases with that WEST Coast flava, and with them Hard hitting beats. In late 2000 “CAUGHT UP” was released selling 3600 units throughout the Northwest. Then in 2001, D.P.R. closed its doors to reconstruct its oulined goals for the company.
Then in 2003 “INDIVIDUALS” was released selling over 5200 units through Internet Sells and that out the Trunk Hustle. With the minor success of that project, THA SYNDICATE returned to the studio and in June 2007 released the album titled LIFE OF SCANDAL.
Through positive promoting, via shows, street team and online champagne, have pushed album sales to just over 13k for Life Of Scandal..
Tha Syndicate is currently working on the new album titled: 2012 Living In The Last Days, which should be released summer 2009, with features from Neema of Unexpected Arrival, Cerified Outfit, The Parker Brothers, & Young Pit to name a few.
