I got started in late 2000, working with a program called, Jeskola Buzz. I'm still using that, but I have incorporated other programs in as well.
Why this name?
My first name is 'Phil' my middle name is 'T'homas, and my last name is 'R'idlen. Put the selected letters together and you get philtr (FILL-tur).
Do you play live?
I don't play live, because first of all I don't have the equipment or talent to play live. It takes me many hours to write a song. If I mix it on the spot, I don't feel it's my best work.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
First off and most importantly it allows anyone to distribute their songs even if they can't get a record deal. The transfer is fast over the internet as well.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I was offered it, yes.
Favorite spot?
I like the mountains in my home state of Colorado. You can smell the fresh air, no pollution, see wildlife, it's really beautiful.
