DJ Maxican.
Ambient techno/trance with a side of chaos.
Ambient techno/trance with a side of chaos.
Why this name?
Max + Mexican = Maxican. Simple.
Your influences?
I love many, many bands, but as for those who influenced the music I actually compose, it'd have to be two for techno: DJ Tiesto and Orbital.
Equipment used:
Mixing - FL Studio 6
Guitar - Ibanez AX 120 w/ Ibanez Smashbox pedal
Recording - Sound Blaster Audigy 2 w/ Creative Media Source

DJ Maxican - Seven Sided Cube
"Seven-Sided Cube" was really my first attempt at trying to experiment and create a more ambient-like form of techno/trance, and trying to find what my sound is. For that reason, ALL of the tracks on the CD are way different from each other, so I'd recommend listening to ALL of them before drawing any conclusions on my work.
Still, you can say that I started "Seven-Sided Cube" as a n00b, but I have progressively been getting much better since then. I believe my true sound (and thus the sound of my next, probably more serious and focused CD) lies somewhere between "Meaning of Life" (which remains my best work), "Forgotten," "Dungeon," and "Oppression."
Additionally, my second CD will (hopefully) have my guitar, finally, for some better sounds.
Lastly, since Soundclick has a policy against remixes and cover songs, I'll probably post some outside links to my other songs later. Hopefully I can also get some stuff on OCRemix.com (which would TRULY be a test of my skill) that you guys can listen to.
Until then, enjoy "Seven-Sided Cube"!
