I'm a solo rap artist. A damn good one if I must say myself. What my music is about is keeping that old school vibe back in Hip Hop, when making music wasn't always about making money.
Why this name?
I got it from Memphis Bleek's character in the movie, "State Property"; aswell as from that dude, Blizzard, from "Juice". Both of them are livewires that would do anything for paper. So, I felt the name was fitting for my mentality about life.
Do you play live?
I do certain things: battles, open mics, talent shows. I haven't had the opportunity to put on a show yet, but hopefully I'll get a chance to open for someone, someday. Until then, I'm gonna keep winning battles.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives the listener more freedom to listen to what they want. No matter how much you fight it, the internet is a better source for music than stores, bootleggers, whatever... I hope the sh*** helps me out.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'm not hoping to at the moment, but possibly in the future. I'd rather make the money I get from people who are on the same page as me, rather than being molded into someone I'm not and loved by teeny-bopping little wannabe hoes.
Band History:
I started rapping when I was about 14 years old, and have always took it seriously. While growing more mature and intelligent, my rhymes have only gotten better. Take a listen, you'll see for yourself.
Your influences?
I've been influenced by Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Binary Star, Mos Def, Kool G Rap, M.O.P., The L.O.X., Jay-Z, and Kanye West.
Favorite spot?
I like the environment of any big city. Alot of people and commotion gets my hype.
Equipment used:
All I need is one mic. Actually, all I need is one lone hip-hop fan to listen to me. I'll be a rapper for life.
Anything else...?
Get at me to work on shit. Give me free beats.
