I dunno
While working on music for 'The Toll' for Hatchling Studios, I wrote this... I was kinda feeling bad for the guy.
I wrote the words to this in March 06 right after my 2nd daughter was born... I was asking her to sleep!
uplifting with a big poofy drum
a fun ride down a steep path in a barrel...
while working on the 'Endurance Challenge: Mordred's Isle' theme music again for Hatchling Studios... this was one of the seconds that I really liked the vibe of...
i thought that maybe it would be funny to rap about something... it's kinda about d**k cheney thinkin he's the man...
silly song about the internet's other use... and how it can affect your partner.
50's space ballad
There's this weird loopy guitar phrase that starts the tune that was the 1st nugget no idea why it became what it is now WAY different from what i had in mind, but it was fun to try something like this
Jamie did this as an instrumental in garage band 1st then had an idea for the words it was funny playing the guitar while he played the drums into reason cuz i wasn't being recorded! i was the ref track the Tim saved the day again!
I came up with the chorus or guitar last summer sometime. it was originally gonna be just nylon string guitar, and vocal... but made an electronic version and had Peter Black to sing it.
I always wanted to try recording some crystal glasses and playing them on my sampler...here was this one snifter glass... that I was getting 2 notes out of... no idea how... but it was playing a perfect minor 3rd...
Jamie had the idea of 'crazy drums getting all distorted wailing away, while some looping thing plays' I knew just what he had in mind, drums played through guitar amps is gooood.... :)
This is a tune I've been noodling with for years... used to play bits of it to my boy Oliver when he was just a peanut... It's just recently come together into this version, and I thought that and electric guitar might be kinda fun to try it on...
I found this lick and synth patch in reason, while looking for a game sound. the patch is called 'New Yor City', and I have no idea what any of the words are about and I have to admit that I WAS hearing a bad 80's pop tune when I wrote it, HA!
This came together sorta this past Dec, when I found this yamaha nylon string at the pawn shop in Sanford for $80 (yay!) love that thing. My Victoria (5) sez that it sounds like riding in a boat
