Lonely Llama Music was so named because I frequently work alone. Not because I'm an unfriendly sort, but because my closest neighbors are deer, bears and such. I wear lots of hats on my projects: Producer, Writer, Engineer, O yeah-Musician, Publicist. This does carry the significant benefit of allowing one to work in one's underwear at 0300. I do, however, depend on good friends like Craig Bartock who Co-Produced and displayed his considerable performance talent on "Phanta Morgana", to supply me with the necessary reality checks...sometimes (infrequently, but on occasion), a bagpipe is just uncalled for.
Why this name?
Ken Dixon?...My parents actually chose it for me. Do you like it?
Do you play live?
I've never tried playing dead. I'm not a bloody opossum! But perhaps I'll give that a go one day.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows for the introduction of many more types of music into one's experience than would normally be the case. There is also the added ease with which one can obtain these newly discovered types of music. And with the advent of web-based, personalized radio stations, it just might knock some sense into those who program the homogenous, cookie-cutter music we are subjected to on the airwaves.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, as long as I didn't have to bend over so far it hurt. But I can write, record and distribute my own music, so it would need to include distribution and other aspects of the process exceeding those which we, as independent artists, have learned to self-control to a large extent in recent years.

Your influences?
Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Super Furry Animals, Fountains of Wayne, Eels, The Flaming Lips
Favorite spot?
City?...London. As for spots, my dog is a Dalmation and I like all of his.
Equipment used:
Les Paul, Line 6 Variax, Gibson Explorer, Guild F-50 Acoustic, and Guild B-30 Bass, Kawai Keyboards, ProTools, and a 25 centrifuge cascade plutonium enrichment facility. Just a moment, please. There are some men at the door...Oh, nice sunglasses!
Anything else...?
According to Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity, the faster you talk about your relatives, the younger and, therefore, more "special " they become. I suggest taking the Einstein-Rosen Bridge just out of Boston and trying to guess where you'll end up. Makes for an interesting weekend.
