Paul Madsen, a UK writer/ producer now signed to Fuid Groove records of the USA. His unique style of melodies and driving rythems have bought him much success but even mor is sure to come.

His sophisticated blend of melodies and rich sounds have won he praise from many quarters.
His 2006 album, The Silence has just been re-recorded and re-released and his new album will follow soon.

Why this name?
My surname
Do you play live?
Not anymore myslef but one of my tracks from the new album will be played live this October in London.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Gives the listener more choice and original artisits the chance to publish their work which is great for those who might never get discovered.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, but it would have to be worth a lot for no extra work on my part, I enjoy the way I work now and the wya my life is. I would also want to keep the rights to my music but if the money was right.....
Band History:
Madsen started wirintg music in the mid 80s at the age of 11. After years of using home keyboards and basic equipment such as the Commodire Amiga (never forgotten) he moved into the world of synthesizers.

By the 90s he was living and studying in London and musically began to come to a halt; money was tight and so he was left with very limited equipment and choices. However, he still created albums and his friends and family always requested copies.

Come the year 2000 Madsen had almost turned his back on music but a change in his personal life renewed his love of producing and writing and after splashing some cash on his first PC in 2002 he began to write his first album in three years.

It took nearly four years of writing and educating himself in how to use VSTs and PC sequencers but finally The Silence was complete. He released the album in 2006 and soon after signed for Washington DC label Fluid Groove records.

This led to radio plays, remix work and sales on Soundclick and Trackitdown. But once again equipment got in the way as he redesinged and re-equiped his small studio known as The Outhouse.

And so forward wind over a year and Madsen had only managed to release one more track! So the decision was made and he went back to the studio set up that worked before; Mu-lab as the sequencer, a basic set up of a few VSTs, one keyboard synth and home PC speakers ("monitors dont work in the Outhouse!") and work began on a new album

And so to 2008, The Silence is re-recorded and released again, the new album is almost complete, Bispatial partenerrhim on some of his new tracks and a live performance beckons. Reviews are positive, his tracks are playing in clubs once more and Madsen is looking forward to a successful 2009.
