Why this name?
We all came from different walks of life and our first gig was at the Port Melbourne Hotel, Australia.
Do you play live?
We play live in and around Melbourne. Our percussionist, Jamie, once started a wild brawl at the Richmond Hotel which resulted in him and enigmatic leader, Gary, spending a night in jail.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We did, but they asked us to stop breaking into their office.
Band History:
Hammo (Gary) was feeling jaded after having played for over 20 years. He formed The Ports when he discovered some rough diamonds that needed some edges knocked off them.
Your influences?
The Pogues, Bay City Rollers, Frank Ifield
Favorite spot?
There are 4 very different members in our band, so this varies. (Please see "Intro To Band")
Anything else...?
We were sitting around having a major argument about the songs on our second album. Unfortunately, we hadn't written the first one.
