San Diego hip-hop producer/artist. Been doing this since April of '05. Currently working with FiveStarStyle and the San Diego Hip-Hop Community to build a scene in San Diego. If you're from the area you know what I mean.
Why this name?
Nickname given to me by a former student of mine...I was ignoring him, and he just yelled out the first random word that came to mind to get me to look...the word was JukeBox. It fits me, so it stuck.
Do you play live?
No live shows at the moment, but I'm working on it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It enables everyone to participate in the process. Enables better collaboration across international lines.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably if the money were right.
Band History:
Not much history other than getting Fruity Loops and an old record player. Changed my life. Done beats for:
-Nameliss
-True Light
-Tusk
-Defamation League
-Madcat
-K.O.D.
-LunchBoxx
-SpaceCase
-Mr. Sonador
-Others sure to follow...
Your influences?
Argh...hard to say...I listen to almost anything.
-DefJux label
-Madlib
-J-Dilla (R.I.P.)
-J-Live
-Beastie Boys
-Atmosphere
-Brother Ali
-Talib Kweli
-Mos Def
-Immortal Technique
-Public Enemy
-Paris
-Many, many, many more....
Favorite spot?
San Diego...all the way every day. 619 - 858 - 760
Equipment used:
Fruity Loops version 5 (workin on 6 a bit, but dont like it yet).

A crappy old record player that's hooked into my computer.

- Trying to get a keyboard with MIDI to step up my game a bit.
Anything else...?
Nothing else.
