Amidst a rapidly rising music scene in San Marcos, TX spawns Deeper, delivering the melodic, acoustic-driven alternative pop-rock of singer-songwriter-guitarist David Raybuck. The diverse live show consists of David Raybuck on lead guitar/vocals, Travis Lucy on rhythym guitar/backup vocals, Andrew Carlson on drums, and Ian Heyns on bass. The members of Deeper remain students at SWT while catering to a rapidly growing fan base, and Dave is currently writing the next album.
Why this name?
Deeper appears on the album as D.eep.er., which are the initials for my name, David Perry Raybuck
Do you play live?
Yes; Deeper has played during SXSW at the Cheetah Lounge and Amazon on 6th street; at the Green Parrot, Draft Choice, and Nephews' on the San Marcos square; and at the River Road Icehouse in New Braunfels. Our first River Road Icehouse gig was a Pi Kappa Alpha date party, and we rocked the f@#%in house.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives independent bands way more of a chance than before.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably, its the easiest way to reach the masses.
Band History:
Dave created Deeper in November 2000, in an effort to showcase his developed and unique songwriting talent. As a sound recording technology major at Southwest Texas State, Dave recorded his debut album Pawn, using his lab time in the student studio over the course of the Spring 2001 semester. And now, in May 2001, at the age of 20, he has released Pawn under the name Deeper, composed of 13 original songs of love, hate, loss, gain, and other elements of the adolescent emotional roller coaster, laced with the brilliant drumming of fellow student Andrew Carlson.

Anything else...?
I'm a modest person, so I'm going to supress the urge to explain the inevitability of our upcoming domination of modern music.
