From her hometown of Philadelphia, Molloy is creating a buzz with her live performances. A graduate of Musicians' Institute in Los Angeles, she has already performed her original music in venues such as L.A.'s Genghis Cohen and NYC's Acme Underground. Her very first single "Maybe" won first place in the MakeaStar.Com competition. She recently performed to a sold-out crowd for the Best of Philly Rising show at the World Cafe Live Downstairs. She can also be heard on WXPN 88.5 as a featured artist. For more info, go to www.irene-molloy.com or

Like a lot of little kids in Philly's northern suburbs, Irene Molloy grew up belting out show tunes in church basements and hymns on Sunday. But after catching the ear of Andrew Lloyd Webber, she left community theater and wedding singing behind to take her chances in showbiz.
By 18, she had been a soloist on some pretty famous stages including Philadelphia's Academy of Music and London's Palladium. By 23, she had starred in a Broadway musical (Civil War) and on the small screen (in Darren Starr's Grosse Pointe and Fox's Andy Richter ).
YES! I love to play live. I always meet great people, make new fans, and learn about my music. I was the stand-out performer of October at the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia. I've also played in NYC at Acme Underground and in LA at Genghis Cohen. I have an upcoming show at the Tin Angel (Philly) on March 2nd.
