Spencer said something along the lines of "well, that's one up on me," and Matt and Joby looked at him in a strange fashion

We have just started playing live, and we love it. Our best moment as of yet was when Joby kicked over the rhythm guitar amp.

I think it helps it, if used properly. We are getting our name out via the internet, and if people want to illegally copy our music, its kinda cool because it means people actually want to listen to us.

Well we are a 4 piece Rock band from northern Indiana. The band started like 3 years ago with Joby on rythm guitar and a guy name Ryan Anglin on lead guitar. Then Ryan joined the military so Spencer joined in on the bass and so then the band was called Silver Plait. Then Ryan introduced us to Matt who could play the drums so then we were a 3 piece with no one singing. Then Matt introduced us to grant who took over on drums, so Joby decided to learn some scales and become a lead guitarist, Matt is now lead singer and rythm guitarist and Spencer still plays bass. The newly formed 4 piece has been together roughly 2 months and changed its name to 1 Up On Me because Spencer said it and it was neat. We really don't sound much like anybody else. Best desription I can give you is Weezer meets Nerfherder. The ultimate thing in the end is that we know how to rock, so it's all good.

We draw from so much. I think all of us were in band in high school, so we all have a knowledge of instrumental music. Add in some great lyrics and riffs from Weezer, a couple cool beats from Nerf Herder, and maybe the catchiness of some of Blink-182's better songs, and you have what we are aiming for.
