If you're into melodic, varied songs and nice arrangements, Carl-August-Simon is for you.
Following no particular trend, just the urge to create beautiful and fun music, our songs tend to conjure up soundscapes in your mind and make you feel good.

Why this name?
Carl-August-Simon are my first names, reflecting the three main sides of my personality. Carl is the maverick adventurer, August the nerdy technocrat and Simon the Euro-sensitive New Age guy.
Since these three "guys" do the composing, playing, engineering and production, the use of my first names seemed applicable.

Do you play live?
No, but I make surprise appearances in restaurants and clubs in Chicago.
Band History:
Carl Ververs has made music since the early '80s. He started out in various bands in his native The Netherlands, but resorted to recording at home because of the adverse music climate.
Once in Chicago in 1991, he started recording seriously, but the first album, "Ververs' Verses" didn't see the light until 1997.
The advent of MP3 has opened up new opportunities and Carl has started capitalizing on this new trend.
To illustrate, "Sound Of Freedom has made it up to #5 on the SoundClick jazz charts.
