Echidna ['ekhidna]: She-Viper. Legendary creature of the Greek Mythology, mate of Typhon. She was half a woman and half a serpent and gave birth to many mythological monsters (Nemean Lion, Cerberus, Chimera, Sphinx, Hydra, Medusa, Orthrus, Ladon and many others.)

Echidna were formed in 2004 in Greece and released a demo in 2006 entitled This Suffering, which was favourably reviewed by the media (Demo of the Issue@Zero Tolerance, Suggestion of the Month@Metal Hammer). They have played many gigs including shows in Greece, Belgium and Scotland and support appearences to Tankard and Cynic.
