The Dr. Krud Story.

Dr. Krud grew up in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
Born Ernest Norman Miller, he was the youngest of three children.
He wasn’t exactly the most popular guy in school but was well liked amongst his fellow
members in the high school band where he played the tuba.
He played in the school band for several years but later quit after an embarrassing
incident with a clarinet.
After that, Ernest began to withdraw from people and became a bit of a loner.
It wasn’t until his final year of high school that he began to mix socially with people
again after falling head over heels for Ilene McFadden.
They had known each other since primary school but he had never taken an interest
in her before. Now she brought new light into his life and encouraged him to be himself.
The two fell in love and ended up marrying and having four children.
It was your typical high school sweetheart scenario.
Unfortunately their marriage didn’t last and the two were divorced after Ernest returned
home from work one day only to find Ilene in a compromising position with the
lawn mower man. A semi-nervous break down occurred and Ernest began writing songs
as a way of dealing with the past.
Sadly, the light that Ernest once saw in Ilene became an assortment of distorted memories
that he chose to incorporate into his music. One song in particular, ‘Big Fat Heifer Ass.’
Time eventually did heal all wounds and Ernest changed his name to Dr. Krud to signify
his new lease on life.
Dr. Krud is still living in the northern suburbs of Melbourne with his dog Bruce.
He has regular visits from his four children. Ilene no longer speaks to him.
