Erica Nicole is my first and middle name. The spelling of my first name was altered to add flavor, and it also serves as a distinction between the "everday" Erica and "Arekah, the performer."

My roots have been and continue to be in the church. So most of my live performances take place in church. I have also performed at weddings, birthday and anniversary celebrations, as well as talent competitions. In 2004, I placed runner-up in INSP's (Inspiration Network) Christian Artist Talent Search (CATS) regional competition held in Philadelphia. In April of this year, I will be a contestant in one of the most well-known talent competitions--Showtime at the Apollo. Wish me luck!

I would definitely consider signing a record contract with a major label, however my decision would be dependent upon terms of the contract. But currently, my loyalty is to Royal Child Music Group.
