A Robot is a band that was formed from the scattered remains of the pop-punk band Agito Plus Nine. A Robot plays songs of many genres spanning everything from techno to ska.
Why this name?
Just thought it would be funny to have a band that is named "A" and then some random noun. Eventually it was decided that random noun would be "Robot". Josh decided this because it would be funny for shows to hear someone say "Up next A Robot will be playing!" and then everyone will be like cool "A robot is playing?" and then they'll be disappointed when it isn't a real robot...
Do you play live?
Yes, no shows yet, but they are coming.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier for smaller artists to get their music out there and listened to.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hells yeah.
Band History:
When Dr. Takahashi created "A" Robot he knew that it would cause the destruction of Tokyo. Little did he know that "A" Robot would trigger the events leading to the formation of a band named in the robot's honor.
A Robot is a band that was formed primarily from Agito Plus Nine members but with a new guy named Patrick Park thrown into the mix. The band has officially set out to record as many songs as possible, each one of them telling a story. A Robot can not be defined simply by one genre, so don't even bother trying.
