The Band:

While everyone in this era is concentrating on so called "X" and "Y" genre of music making, this band is focussing all its attention on going the other way. Their music can be best defined as a kind of melting point for every conceivable form of music. They are into blues, jazz, reggae, psychedelia, funk, rock n' roll and everything in between. And above all, they are into originals. Already released their debut album with all originals, they're quite assertive about them; though they do play covers occasionally. Ozzobozo, an 'original band' as they love calling themselves, when asked about their kind of music and the influences told, "Though the important stuffs like Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Leonard Cohen, Bob Marley, T. Bone Walker, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, B.B.King and the Rolling Stones, just to name a few will always be there ; we just can't really be influenced by a particular type of music. We play everything."

Formed in June 2000, their style can be best defined as electric blues, dope influenced psychedelia, rock n' roll, this, that and everything.
Why this name?
Our producer for our first album,Claude, suggested this name.Only he knows what the hell it means.Claude is also the father of the guitarist of the band,Alec. His support for keeping the band alive is appreciated.
Do you play live?
We're basically a band who prefers playing live than to make records and we love the thrill that goes inside in each one of us when playing live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
People listening to musicians from around the world seems like a very good idea to me.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We don't know.If we are given a record contract,we'll have to think about it.
Band History:
History:

Alec and Rajan met each-other back in the end of 1997. By the mid of '98, they were already at the studio, recording with Claude (a big big influence for the band),who produces OZZOBOZO now, on bass guitar and a schoolmate taking up the microphone. They released a single with the band name of "THE CRAB" and did some gigs together then, along with Alec on drums and Rajan on guitars. Then, came a long break until when came the World Music Day, 2000.They rocked again at French Cultural Centre; this time with Dharma on Vocals, Sagar on Drums, Rajoo on Bass, Alec, now taking on the six-strings and Rajan with his good old instrument, guitar. They gigged here and there; some paid and some unpaid. By the end of 2000, they were ready with their self-titled debut album with eight originals in it. By this time, Dharma ( the former vocalist) had left for his further studies abroad. From then, they had been rocking and rolling as a four-piece band.

Debut Album :
Released in a limited copies, containing 8 originals in it,this album was literally recorded in a single day.

Current Stuffs:
Still rocking every Saturday on their jam sessions at Alec's place as always, they have now started to play in pub/club circuit. And the band is busy for their follow up album too.
