Why this name?
Originally I was named Leedsquietman as I'm from the Leeds area, UK (now living in Canada) and I'm a quiet guy! But people know me as LQM for short and I felt the name was old and therefore the new name LiQuid Metamorphosis is a fresher name playing on the initials LQM.
Do you play live?
Not now, yes in the past. Liked it but prefer home recording. I would like to perform live again in the future though, if the opportunities were right.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Radiohead just raised the bar with 'In Rainbows' and there is a trend to move away from the majors. MP3 is a major part of that, although I am still not a fan of the typical lower bitrate (128 Kbps or less) offerings that I myself am restricted to here as I do notice some loss of dynamic range and quality. I won't pay to upgrade to premium though as I already have subscriptions to too many other hosting sites.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if the terms and conditions were favourable to the end user as well as myself. I would not promote prosecution of downloaders or banning mp3 and suck up to organizations like the overzealous RIAA, so probably a more progressive indie label would suit me better.

Anything else...?
I am a crazy megalomaniac, but if you can stand me and my bizarre ways, you've got yourself a friend for life.
