It was 43 years ago J. Garcia used two tape recorders to produce music.
Why this name?
Musicology was a last resort desperate attempt to find a name not taken by another band.
Do you play live?
I play live for my family and friends.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I can now listen to unsigned bands. One is able to escape from the recycled music all radio stations play.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
At this stage in my life I would do it for free.
Band History:
It all started with The Beatles. They made me go to the music store and buy a guitar.
Your influences?
Beatles, Kinks, Left Banke, The Cars, Blur, Rolling Stones, Serrat, Bach, Chopin, Cream, early REM, "Crosby, Stills, and Nash", Neil Young, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, British 1960s invasion.
Favorite spot?
I don't have any---- perhaps my home PR. I enjoy NY, Boston, LA, Paris, and Madrid.
Equipment used:
Fender Precision bass, Paul's Hoffner copy, Gibson 160E acoustic guitar, Gretsch 6122, Gretsch T. Rose, Rickenbacker 12 string 360 CW, DC-59 Danelectro, Epiphone Casino J. Lennon Model, Gibson Melody Maker, Tele, Yamaha nylon string, Roland JV-80 keyboard, Sonar recording software, Shure mics (sm57, sm58).
Anything else...?
If you are getting older keep playing rock and roll---------it helps.
