The Road Dawgz are a blues band that formed in late 2002. Consisting of 6 artists Davor Lazic (Lead Guitar), Ric Stokes (Harmonica And Sax), Andres Litwin (Drummer), W. Popla Poplewski (Bass), James Kelley (Vocals), Curro Noriega (Lead Guitar). The Road Dawgz have a diversity that spans 3 continents, and 6 cultures. Their backgrounds make them ideally suited for a blues sound that is heavy in feelings and sounds incorporating their various life experiences. For a truly unique experience, the Road Dawgz should definitely be on anyone's short list of blues bands to be seen and heard.

Why this name?
The name was chosen due mainly because we are allways on the road. And like road dogs, we feel we are independent although loyal to each other, the genre of music we play and the rough and raggedy look of us. In all, we are non-pretentious. We are, what we are.
Do you play live?
We play live quite often. We were on tour in Eastern Europe i.e. Poland, Serbia and Bosnia in 2004 and 2005. (See photos on our website) and in 2006 we tour the U.K. We will be performing live at the Smokie Blues Festival in Arbroath, Angus Scotland and the Bonanza Blues Festival in Dundee with a lot of appearances in blues clubs while we tour.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes it in a very positive way for artists of all genres. Yes it has it's down sides, but really, what doesn't? Due to the internet and mp3's, unknowns now have a venue to get themselves heard. Where before, a musician had to have a radio station or record label to be heard. The playing field has been equalized to a great deal. We give away a couple of mp3 samples on our site with fans of our music being able to buy the complete cd if they like what they hear.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes
Band History:
See our Biographies on our website; Great stories there.

Your influences?
Ohh many. Of course the legends, B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and the Great, Z.Z. Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Allman Brothers, Grand Funk, and the fantastic, Robin Trower.
Favorite spot?
That is a difficult question to answer.
We have been to so many great cities, with still more to visit. If I had to point out anything that is similiar through out the places we have performed, I would have to say our Fans and the fans of The Blues in particular.
