From a songwriter view, Nash started as a soloproject, doing life gigs on my own and sometimes - unfortunately too little lately - enjoying the presence of other musicians.
Why this name?
Nash is an anagram of my original name ....
Do you play live?
I love to perform on stage, preferably with other musicians. Greatest moment is when everything is in harmony.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Thru the Internet you will be able to reach out to everyone anywhere in this world. Music will probably be sold solely thru the web in the future.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If there is any value add to it, but I consider it of greater importance to work with a strong management/marketing organisation to be really able to get the right exposure in the marketplace.
Band History:
I used to do leadvocals/guitars/keyboard in a band called Pretty Sharp. Great musicians and a lot of fun. It's a shame it did, but everything comes to an end.
Your influences?
In the early days: Bob Dylan, Eagles, Stones, Crosby Stills Nash & Young etc.
Later on: Police, Wang Chung, Joe Jackson, Van Halen, Bryan Adams etc.
Favorite spot?
Montreal, Canada / Ko Samed, Thailand
Equipment used:
My voice and my hands, so I can sing my songs & play guitar/keyboard/piano/mouthorgan.
Anything else...?
I have written a lot of songs up till now and - after signing up with Koch Music about 15 years ago for one album - I guess it's time to try to start selling myself and/or my music again.
