The drummer and bassist old band was defunct, as their former singer/guitarist had decided he needed a challenge at age 31 he re-inlisted into the US millitary. Bass player decides to go back to college, and is assigned a freshman roomate. Bass player calls the drummer to inform him that his new room mate is a vertuoso, but only 17 years old. Drummer says yeah right. Bass player convinces drummer to at least take a listen to (The Kidd)drummer abliges and goes to here (The Kidd) drummer arives out side the dorm room and hear's guitar and say's to himself their is no way that can be coming from this dorm someone has their sterio turned up, to the drummer's surprise the music is coming from the dorm room so he steps in and here is this skinny kidd playing a vintage fender strat through a vintage tube amp.
it looks like he's playing but that can not be.
It was an incredible moment he had seen and listened to some of the best, and here they all were speaking to him from one 17 year old kidd. The best part about (The Kidd)is that he had no ego at all he was modest to the definition of the word this kidd just liked to play music, and music undoubtedly liked him playing too cause it was pouring out of (The Kidd). Once the drummer was convinced that he was not holucinating he looked at the bass player and said this is the guy were looking for. In agreement the bass player and drummer told (The Kidd) you just play and will back you up. No practice needed just add milk. Later we decided to name our three piece blues band so we all wrote down names placed them in the hat and drew. The name drawn from the hat was Mojo, thus begain the Mojo journey.
