100 Mixtapes strong and counting,
Geolani from Y.O. (Yonkers, NY) makes this rap game seem too easy. Surrounding himself with DJs, Mixtape Dvds, and Hip Hop Internet Websites, everyone knows Geolani refuses to let anyone boss him around. Not only does he assure that his presence is felt in the mixtape game, he will make sure that each and every one from his team shines, which makes him a great leader.
His debut album titled
"Who's The Boss?" clearly demonstrates his ability to juggle between being an artist and being a boss. The line-up of the tracks is business strategy mixed with hard core street music from the hood. From head-knockin' to club-bangin', this album has unlimited play potential. After long hours and sleepless nights in the studio, Geolani's strong dedication for this craft illustrates his mission to make you take notice.
"Shake That", the first radio released single in U.K., has an infectious rhythm produced by Ty Up to keep your feet moving and body shaking. While you can visually picture in "Can U Dig It" relaxing and sipping on some Moet in VIP with Pharell, we can thank Ty Jilla for his smooth vocals on the chorus. The Street Single - "Money, Gunz, Drugz" featuring Freeway and Montega, makes you grab some work and hit the block. Don't forget features from J-Hood, A-Team, Shells, and Littles. Top it all off with the Street Anthem, "Fix Ya Face", produced by former D-Block producer/engineer Liveson, and you got trouble. Only thing that might be missing is a female track but don't underestimate Geolani because he has two, "Oh-Boy!" and "Not Going Anywhere", that will have any young girl singing her heart out, both produced by Monopoly.
After many years of dealings and networking along with the strive to never quit, real recognize real. His first moment started brief in June '98 where he and former rap duo group member, Kastro, who is currently in Puerto Rico spitting Reggaeton, were featured in the "IN THE HOOD" section of THE SOURCE MAGAZINE. Now you can catch Geolani's article in the latest issue of THE NEXT LEVEL MAGAZINE.
He is also the host of the Mixtape
Legends DVD Series which was mentioned in Oct. 2005 issue of THE SOURCE MAGAZINE, And "Ear to the Streets" - Radio Show on DeadBeat RADIO (www.db-radio.com) every Thursday night 10pm-12am midnight.

Tag Music Group, which currently have a roster including
