Besides his musical career, Dev has worked in many different jobs over the years. In the music industry, he has been a recording engineer, a sound designer for videos and commercials, and a session-musician for other musicians, and a Composer .

About his musical style, Dev says: "I do not think I have a permanent style. My music seems to change from work to work. This is fine with me, because I enjoy it that way. It keeps me interested in composing, and I find composing in different styles a challenge. This may change though as I progress, I may find a style of music that I love so much that I may have a hard time moving away from it."
