Abrasive Flowers is a Mysterious retro garage band influenced by the Mysterians and Question Mark as well. It begins with an electric Neil Young sound but may veer off past Sam the Sham and into Cobain country perhaps having some country picnics with Kinksian influenced material. It could very well sound like a lost 60's garage band with grunge guitars or may be more melodic. It is catchy, hopefully not with too many sniffles. Skiffle is unlikely.
Why this name?
My (our) whoever we are, or I am, is usually acoustic or poppier. This is the most abrasive music I'm capable of, but it still has some pretty melodies.
Do you play live?
I (we) have played live in other bands, outfits solo or otherwise, quite extensively in times gone by. The Abrasive Flowers are just beginning to take root in the garage (right over the garage to be exact).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It increased the chances of being heart a millio-fold. The key word though is "cahnce."
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes, and a minor one too.
