play lo-fi play hi-fi  manifest
Formed in February of 2002, Salvaged began turning heads wherever they went & were received by the public as a breath of fresh air. Real lyrics, strong melodies, & catchy hooks. Not to mention, a real-life show. Very upfront & personal. "We connect with our audience by being ourselves... we include our fans... we talk to them from the stage. We play our music FOR them, not to them."
In February of 2003, the band set off to record their first full-length album "On the Brink of Existence", which was released in March of 2004. Right off the bat, the band had sold several hundred copies at shows & out of the trunks of their cars. "This was the first album that any of us had ever recorded... we're pleased with our first attempt & expect our next effort to be even better."
Things were starting to take off really well, when an unexpected line-up had to occur. "We went 3 or 4 months of playing nearly every weekend & all of a sudden, Bill had some unknown personal issues to deal with & he left the band in June, 2004." With the decision of canceling shows or finishing what they started, the band chose to finish playing the last scheduled shows with fill-in drummers.
Right away, the search began. A few drummers came & went, until Ben Wadle stepped up to the plate in August. "He caught onto the songs rather quickly & we started scheduling gigs right away." First gig with Ben, was late September at very successful gig at the Go-Kart Track. "Eight bands were there that day... it was like a big festival... gorgeous day & lots of people. It felts great to be out jammin' again."
Unfinished business... MORE COMING SOON!!
