Welcome to the D2E page. This page is dedicated to the sad state of hip hop where people can get on with no skillz, no lyrical content, and no love for what they do. HipHop has gone from storytelling to prostituting music. But a lot of people are feeling this new state of club music. This joke/experiment is basically us mocking the groups out there doing these corny ass songs. But hey, some of ya'll might like these songs too.
Why this name?
We originated the D2E name from the D4L rap group. For us, that album (which is selling) was a joke, so D2E stands for "Dis 2 Easy" where we make all of these songs in less than 1 hour.
Do you play live?
Yes, any club where they play crunk music. People don't even realize this is a joke. It's an experiment for us, so it's funny to see people get off on something we put no musicianship into.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows a lot of real mc's, lyricists, musicians to be heard without having to worry about the trials of commercial appeal.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah, but not with this shit. We make real music.
Your influences?
For this experiment, D4L, Dem Franchize Boyz, Webbie, crunk music, snap music, stripper music, uncut music, u know that music that makes u say to urself "what the f*** are they talking about."
Favorite spot?
ATL, NY
Equipment used:
Digital Recording equipment and a Roland XP-80 keyboard.
Anything else...?
If u like these songs, we ain't knockin u, just understand that it doesn't take any effort or thought to put sh*** like this together, so we don't feel like artists doing this type of music should act like they put their heart into this sh*** either.
