In 2004;Unuzual Fellaz originated in Tampa Bay, Fl. The founding members were; J.Minor from Tennesse, Phyre from New York and $ide$how from California. Performing at many events within the bay area and a broad, the group received radio time on 88.5 hosted by Tony Montana. All of this was done in a year and a half of formation. The first song was "Have A Ball" followed by "Get The Name Right" and "Letz Go" which get daily downloads on the internet. With new members Hurricane,Killah, Young L.R. and the Infamous P.M.
Why this name?
We chose the name Unuzual Fellaz; because we think that every man, women and child is unuzual. So, as an Unuzual Fellaz we choose to tell our stories in an unuzual way.
Do you play live?
Performing at Full Moon Saloon in Tampa Bay, Fl. We were the showstoppers.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has helped us make our music available to a wider variety of markets, that we would'nt have access too. Its not always about getting paid, you have to be heard first.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah, if the terms are right.
Your influences?
Tupac, Biggie, Russell Simions and Jay Z. The list is really to big to mention everybody. Anything that has to do with music and life. From the people we've met to the places we've been has inspired us.
Favorite spot?
Tampa Bay, Fl. Because thats where it all began.
Equipment used:
We would have to give thanks to T.O.K. Studios in Odessa, Fl.
