Why this name?
Dephile just called to me. back when i was like 12 i was known as Djphatsteve, but its just an immature alias that lead to my mature artist name and flavor.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
i think the internet makes it much easier for people to be heard, and tho some may be crap, others are worth hearing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
absolutely. my goal isnt to shunt he mainstream, but if they don't accept me and my style I'll simply make it of my own accord.
Your influences?
musical influences, well. theres Dark Lotus. my f***in heroes in oh so many ways, but i'd say ICP and fam, and Sweatshop Union are my major influences. and im certainly partial to kanye west at this point.
Favorite spot?
Banff Alberta. the mountains byytch
