The most Versatile Latino on Earth
Why this name?
Big meaning Legendary, no one artist can do what I do. I am a multivoice in Spanish and English.
Latin because I am Panamanian
Papi, well that speaks for itself
Do you play live?
Yes, yes. There was a moment in an international festival when some young latino rappers were trying to rap and when my performance time came and they heard me, they just shut up and let the Big one do his thing. They basically showed respect to a veteran.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yes, the internet has changed the game. MP3 and downloading are one of the main reasons why I could not get a record deal with a known Latin Label. Also I think that there are too many latino rappers that don't really have the lyrical substance needed to make a real song. Having a couple of words or phrases that happen to rhyme when you put them together DOES NOT MAKE YOU AN EMCEE.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends, my lawyers would have to review it.
Band History:
15 Year Latino Panamanian lyrical assassin who is able to change his voice and style like no other. BLP for short does Salsarap/Merenguerap/Hiphop/Reggae(Dancehall/Reggaeton).
Your influences?
Definitely OLD SCHOOL. I don't hear anything from the new school in Spanish. Most of these Mainstream Reggaeton artists are jokes and make a mockery of the Jamaican/Panamanian Dancehall.
Favorite spot?
Miami, whenever I can get there.
Equipment used:
Magix, Acid
Anything else...?
I make it my personal mission to eliminate the musical careers of all Latino Reggae wannabe emcees that are lyrically weak, meaning that they try to get away with having songs that consist of just a chorus or are just WACK, by setting a standard. Everyone can't do rap or reggaeton.
