In those humid unmerciful months, during the doubtful Jacksonville summer of 2003 in the state of Florida. The hunger for clarity drove four individuals into the search for fulfillment. In the midst of that social strucure of redundancy, these four minds shared a common desire. The desire for change. Driven by the sight within, these four individuals would soon form the band AILAMENT.
By expanding on the experiences gained from each being in previous bands, these individuals grasped that knowledge and radiated music and concepts within. It all started when guitarist Jeff Brown and drummer Brian Love began laying down song structures and intergrating their ideas together. After a couple months of fine tuning their creative abilities, bassist Josh Smith was welcomed and soon all three would create several intrumental pieces. In the summer of 2004, our good friend James Fort stepped in to provided vocal terror. In June of 2005 we invited our good freind Jesse Schultz, to take part in the shredding attack band we call AILAMENT.
With the culmination of heartfelt elements such as anger and awareness, AILAMENT produces heavy aggressive music that is familiar to the metal genre reminiscent to the roots of our younger times when we were screaming at the sky silenty in our heads as we strolled down the avenue of life, but only now more knowing and off our backs.
