A journey of acoustic proportions
Beaker’s travels have led down many interesting roads. Having toured North America and the Caribbean in the drum chair, Beaker has played many styles and performed with an eclectic range of musicians. He has opened for and shared stages with the famous, the not so famous and the infamous, enjoying every step of the way. "Music is life."
Never one to be pinned down to a particular style or instrument, Beaker has also delved into the realms of Singer / Songwriter. Picking up an acoustic guitar, Beaker quickly became a regular performer on the local scene offering his unique take on covers, both classics and obscure, as well as presenting his original ideas at many venues. This avenue has led to many intriguing opportunities, among them performing for Canadian icon Stompin’ Tom Connors at his 65th birthday celebrations.
Always striving to expand his horizons, Beaker has lent his writing talents to many artists and projects. His tunes are being performed and recorded by the likes of Tinman and the Flying Monkeys, Well Strung, Rocky West & Freshwater, Scott Almond and others. His song “The Fall of Grace” was used in the feature film “Miles From Nowhere”. Beaker is also featured in the new Neil Young book, “Neil Young Nation” written by Canadian author Kevin Chong.
Catch this engaging performer as he debuts material from the soon to be released follow up to “Experimental Oxygen”.
