Q: Where did you grow up?

A: In Varennes, on the South Shore of Montreal, Canada.

Q: What made you realize that music was your path?

A: My fascination for film music is the reason I am making music today.

Q: How would you describe the music that you typically create?

A: I like to start with a simple theme adding new instruments, layer by layer, and bring out the arrangement to unexpected destinations.

Q: Who are your biggest musical influences?

A: I like to think that my musical influences comes from all the great film music composers like: Hans Zimmer, Vangelis, Cliff Martinez, Clint Mansell, Eric Serra... to name a few! Those composers all use synthesizers to create their original score. Then, as budget and time permit, they translate it to an orchestrated version with poignant results.

Q: What makes your music unique?

A: The fact that you cannot categorize my music without compromising it's accessibility is something that is original in itself. My music crosses established stylistic boundaries and blends flavors from various genres without becoming elusive.

Q: Has there been one particular moment in your musical career that you're most proud of?

A: Some medieval music I wrote for "Les Oiseaux d'Aristophane," a theatre play. I have been overwhelmed by a great public response. This moment confirmed that indeed my creations can provide a pleasurable experience for an audience.

Q: What's next for you?

A: Intensive music production for the video game industry. Just like scoring for movies, the music in the video games serves as an emotion channel between the player and the action on the screen. It is quite a challenge and very unforgiving when you miss a cue!
