Basically obsessed with beats. All started when I bought my first sampler back in 98 and was messing around with breaks, Drum N Bass, and house. Later on, alot of my friends got into underground hip hop and freestyling. I started making beats for them and we played at house parties all the time. Still make make some deep house/dance style music, but mostly hip hop now.
Do you play live?
Not right now, but I'm a member of the Unsung Might Few, a Hip Hop act out of Maui so they rock my sounds whenever they got shows.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
People who only listen to trax want to download everything for free, however DJs, Re-mix artists, etc dont mind buying tracks for $1.50 off of sites like Soundclick and Beatport. I would like to see the U.S. Music Industry corporate conglomerates burn in hell and I KNOW for a fact the government WONT bail them out... wait...Will they?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah, a guy's gotta eat right? I dont think that is selling out unless you give in to the pressure from the label and change your sound to be more pop or whatever.
