the song title tells the story. spend 2 minutes listening to this one, and you may find yourself feeling surprisingly relaxed and refreshed.
this is a fun song!
after recording a couple of mellow, ambient songs, i had to get back to some good old rock n roll. this one will surely keep you from nodding off. crank it!
i composed this jazzy tune back in 1985, and finally got around to recording it in 2013. after 28 years, i still love it. hope you enjoy it, too.
my wife commissioned something smooth and mellow for valentine's day, and this is what i came up with. she loves it, so what you or i think doesn't really matter, but i do hope you enjoy it, too.
an acoustic ditty i composed and recorded, using a simon & patrick acoustic and a low-budget but decent behringer c-1 microphone.
i always try to turn negatives into something positive. this song was inspired by a recent encounter with a rather unpleasant person. thanks to R.A. for the inspiration.
Funky groove with some horns.
Thanks to Chad Harman for the great vocals! This song is a favorite of mine from an original rock band that I used to play with back in the '80's.
Chad Harman put a GREAT vocal on this one, a combination of John Lennon's 'Come Together' and Jimi Hendrix's 'Power of Soul'
Thanks to the wonders of multitrack recording, I was able to lay down a powerful horn section inspired by an old Chicago lick, with a diversion to a Stills/Hendrix collab. This song does NOT fade out, so hang in for the surprise ending.
Blue Jay Way meets Buffalo Springfield.
there's nothing better than a beatle's song with a horn section. i had a ball recording this one, and like it much better now that my old friend pete grunwerg added the vocals. thanks pete!
A song with a positive message when nothing seems to be going your way.
A song for women who are fed up with the two-timing men in their lives.
Classic Grand Ole Opry style love song. Short and sweet.
i play all the instruments on this one, and dare to vocalize as well. i think it is fair to say this rendition illustrates that i may be a musical jack of all trades, but a master of none.
a cover of one of my favorite neil young songs, originally released on the LP buffalo springfield again. big thanks to peter grunwerg and iron mike (engineer) for their assistance with the vocals on this song.
