Mostly trance, but I dabble in other forms of electronica.
Why this name?
There was this online game, RPGBattles.com, that I had signed up for. I originally wanted my name to inform people that I was a nasty-ass. So I chose MrNastyAxe, just in case the censoring filter was just a little too tight. The name was rejected because it was too long, and I shortened it to MrBadAxe. Later, I found this site, and changed Mr to DJ because it sounded more appropriate.

But hell, It's just a name, right?
Do you play live?
I have recorded songs live. I have not played in front of an audience.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
If it weren't for the internet, Napster, and filesharing, I never would have gotten interested in techno music. So it annoys me that, now that the government is cracking down on filesharing, underdog music genres (i.e. Electronica) can't be spread to those who want it as easily. I realize that there are now sites that specialize in electronic club music, such as Beatport and DigitalJay...but we can't get more people interested if they aren't allowed to explore it themselves.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, I'd sign a record contract with a major label if they take notice...as long as I get to set the price of my CDs. I hate how CD prices are so overinflated nowadays.
Band History:
I worked with Meshai for a while, then we split after a clash of egos.
Your influences?
Too numerous to list them all. I suppose the most important one is Moby. His album "Play" got me interested in techno in the first place.
Favorite spot?
Right here at my desk. Where I feel, not like I'm living in the real world, but I'm a citizen of the internet. Walking through the forums and message boards, an electronic minstrel.
