Hi there!
I'm not in a band, but I do love to sing. I'm really into J-pop and anime. My other music interests range widely from 50's swing to modern pop. Hard rock is not really my thing though, unless I'm really in a bad mood :P
I just like music in general. If you're into karaoke, I am there! My forte is harmony. I often make up my own if there isn't any in the song I'm listening to. I go by "fayefaye" or "faye" in the Crossover forum for Hitomi Shimatani.

Why this name?
I've always liked Greek mythology so it was originally derived from "Zephyr" meaning a gentle west wind. It also happens to be the name of an anime character I like. I think it has a nice sound to it as well.
Do you play live?
Do anime conventions count? Heh heh. It was definitely a rush hearing the audience enjoy my performance. It makes such a difference when you just let go of your reservations and get into the song. My sister told me not to worry but just enjoy the moment. It must be good advice because I managed to get 3rd place in a karaoke contest once doing a duet with her, and I'll never forget that experience.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it has revolutionized it for the better since it exposes more people to the artist. At least for me, it made me want to get the artist's cd's, concerts, and other memorabilia.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not, considering I have a full time career, but you never know. Besides, my voice isn't as strong as other people with real talent.
Your influences?
Like I said before, I love a wide variety of songs from motown, jazz, pop, to just about anything, except for heavy metal, rock and roll, and grunge, but it really depends. My influence is Karen Carpenter and Hitomi Shimatani. I love their voices! Other influences: Garnet Crow and the INDIGO (J-pop bands)
Favorite spot?
Sorrento, Italy. Just a lovely oasis amid the hustle and bustle of the major cities in Italy. Oh yes, and also the island of Capri.
