My name is WardSkillz- i go to Alabama A&M University but I am from Lansing, Michigan. I'm a full time student-Telecommunications major,and I feel I deserve a spot in mainstream hiphop. Why this name?
I used to rap wit my homeboy JA Skillz. We were a group in like 7th grade and the name just stuck.
Do you play live?
I did my first show ever when I was in like, 7th grade- but I didn't really get "good" till a freshmen in highschool. I've been in MAD talent shows, showcases, battles,openmics, poetry nights- you name it.
I was an opening act for Jadakiss in October 2001. Right now i'm tryin to do more shows...more songs...I've only done shows in Alabama and in Michigan, but I rocked crowds

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Soundclick.com is good for every artist because when you upload your songs, its just like "handing" a CD out to everyone with a computer. Excellent publicity for anyone trying to promote their music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depending on what they're offering. I'm not just gonna sign solely because its a major label, show me the money. Even If I DON't get signed as an artist.....I'll just ghostwrite.(lol)And get my degree---
Your influences?
My boys, what goes on in my 22- year old life, Cassidy, Grafh, Diplomats, Most of the Roc, Larsiny, pretty much whoever has hot delivery and style.
Favorite spot?
My hometown Lansing, Michigan; HuntsVegas Alabama; and I got Maaaad love for ATL, the whole dirty South. Everywhere I go I have a ball..
