Hi, we are Antonio Bello(Venezuela) and Henny Groot Antink (Netherlands), together known as Blue Strings. We started playing in middle of 2004, as an acoustic duo.
Why this name?
I think that's very obvious, blue because of the 'bluesy' touch, strings because of the guitar. And it just sounds good!
Do you play live?
At the moment we play at least 3 nights a week, in various locations in Aruba. Nice destination!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes everybody's music accessible, no matter where you are. All it takes is internet.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on the conditions of course.
Band History:
We started playing since 2004 in the Lobby Bar at the Hyatt Regency, a beautiful hotel here in Aruba, till October 2005. Now we have various locations, and we just finished our first (cover) CD called First Journey.
Your influences?
Henny: I love listening to female singers like Anita Baker, Oleta Adams, just as long as there is a lot of soul in it! Years ago I started with Dance Classics, Disco and Funk, later I got more into Rhythm and Blues, Jazz and Country. I just like it all, I don't want to limit myself to a specific style. Any song can be 'mine', as long as I like to play it!
Antonio: I like Hard Rock (a lot!!!), Blues (check out www.antonio-bello.com)Jazz, Barroque Music, Heavy Metal, traditional music from Venezuela. Many artists like Eric Clapton, Gary Moore, Ritchie Blackmore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, David Gilmour, Antonio Lauro, Paco de Lucia, Tomatito, Vicente Amigo and other Flamenco players, Lara Fabian, too many others!
Now I like any music, as long as it has 'feeling', but mostly Blues, Flamenco, Golpe Tuyero (its music from a part of Venezuela),Boleros and Hard Rock / Metal

Henny: my home here in Aruba. It has everything I ever wanted, except a jacuzzi!
