NEWS   Kopa's "Thr33" still available on Random Access Recordings

Third in my list of releases (http://www.archive.org/details/RAR020_Kopasetik_THR33_EP) with RAR is "Project Thr33", yet another mind-bender full of dark chillout and the like, as well a couple tracks of a somewhat more upbeat nature. The art for this one is a bit out the oridnary for me as it was based on a simple optical illusion that lent itself very well to the concept of "three", with the Photoshopping applied to it being entirely my doing (as is the norm). "Thr33" is freely available for your listening pleasure, grab a copy and kick back with me... many thanks to those of you who've helped BOTH my previous albums reach and pass the 1,000 download mark!

Welcome to the Mind of DJ Kopasetik!
Why this name?
According to Webster's dictionary, "copasetic" means:" very satisfactory"...This is the outlook I try to maintain in terms of Life in general, my musical endeavors being a HUGE part of that Life. To paraphrase Webster's : IT'S ALL GOOD!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet has done WONDERS for the distribution of the music made by the "little guy". Without the invent of P2P, there are TONS of bedroom DJ's/producers who do great work, who'd never get any exposure...and YES the Internet has given the "average Joe" a quick, easy and more often than not, free(or cheap, at worst), way to trade music with whoever they choose, whenever they choose. This really seems to bother certain white-collar folk in the music BUSINESS, who aren't scraping together whatever means they can to try and climb that well-greased ladder of success... Here's to the little guy
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Originally I was all for the idea of signing with a "major label" but after some research and whatnot, I'm not so sure...
Your influences?
I'm influenced to some degree by everything I hear, but so far the ones that've done the most for my musical journey are: Aphrodite, Orbital, Infected Mushrooms, Underworld, Adam F, Astral Projection, Beat Club, Cosmosis, Faithless, Juno Reactor, Oakenfold, PPK, Beat Junkies, and the one who first caught my ear...DJ John Kelley, back in the days when he spun the "funkydesertbreaks" series...there's a story behind that, but I'll save that for those who're really interested...
Equipment used:
Over the past several years, I've narrowed the Studio down from Rebith/Acid/MTV Music Generator(which was great SW, actually), to the ever-evolving FL Studio...
