Been making music since I was 8. First thing I learnt to play on keyboard was that piano thing from the film 'Big'. Got introduced to guitar when I was 11 and gave up cos it bored me. Picked it up again when I was 14 and after learning the Beginner's Guide to Playing Guitar (more widely known as "What's the Story Morning Glory") realised that guitars can surely rock. Got myself a larger keyboard at 15 and got drawn into making funky sounds. Then got about 4 guitars between 16 and 20 between 4 different countries - a spanish, a 7-string electric, a 12-string Gibson and an electro-acoustic.
At 21 got myself my first set of decks and decided to take on the DJ world. At 22, bought a Groovebox and got into my electronic music again. Also formed an indie band called "Everyday 50" who I fell out with, but are still gonig strong in Manchester. Started up a weekly rnb and house night around the same time.
There is no better feeling than performing on stage with a crowd responding in awe to your music.
Presently starting a 90s night in Leeds called 'Alcopop' and writing songs, electronic and acoustic, in my free time.

Why this name?
"Guy" rhymes with "Shai". It's quite self-explanatory.

Best experience of playing live was the first time I DJed. Got offered a weekly spot at a big club in Manc which I urned down to my mates night instead (stupid stupid stupid!) Also, gf had cheated on me the week beforehand and was hit on by enough fit girls! No gig has come close to matching it.
