I started playing acoustic guitar in 2000, mostly out of boredom. I found myself liking it more and more, and decided to devote time to it every day. I've never taken formal lessons; everything I learned is self-discovered. About two years ago I started working with fingerstyle methods, which to this day is my favorite style of music, for listening to and for playing. Thanks for paying attention.
Why this name?
It's my name. Simple. Like my music; just me and my guitar.
Do you play live?
I'd like to start playing more often out; military life is very demanding, so it's difficult to make time.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's both beneficial and detrimental. Pro-internet, it's an invaluable resource for the promotion of artists, as well as am extremely accessible medium for their work; Con-internet; piracy, obviously..
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely.
Band History:
Me and my guitars, since 2000.
Your influences?
Michael Hedges, Alex de Grassi, William Ackerman, Billy McLaughlin, Edward Gerhard, Tommy Emmanuel, John Mayer, Doyle Dykes, Pierre Bensusan, Pat Metheny, and Russ Freeman.
Favorite spot?
Baltimore, but of course.
Equipment used:
Dean Exotica Rosewood, Rogue OOO and Audacity audio suite.
Anything else...?
I serve as a journalist in the United States Air Force, defending freedom :) The pen IS mightier than the sword.
