My first country song. Don't expect much.
New song for the band, not many leads in this one, written for having vocals eventually
Another one using my baritone in F. I like it, not really sure why though
Finally finished a new one, it's written as a band song with space for vocals but I'm not sure if that will happen anymore
Short little song, a bit different from my other recent ones...
This is a strange song, not sure what to say about it
I barely have enough time to work on anything of my own lately so this is sort of a rough effort. I like this one though
Not a song, just a minute of stuff mostly done in one sitting. Could be part of a song someday
This is my own interpretation of a Meshuggah tune called Combustion. It is part of the second Meshuggah forum tribute. You can get the rest of them here: http://tandjent.com/meshforum/showthread.php?t=18373
A new incomplete idea, I was playing with rhythms, it's a little different and a little weird
Wrote this awhile back when my guitar was in F#, finally finished bass and drums for it.
A change of pace - piano and drum duet
Had a bad day. Its Superior 2.0 though
I re-recorded all the rhythm guitars with a much better tone and then remixed everything, so this version came out a lot better than the first time
Fun song, progressive rock. Maybe even prog-punk, if such a thing existed.
This one isn't done yet but in case I don't work on it again for another 6 months I might as well put it on here now. The guitar work is pretty bad on some of this because it's a lot of first takes or even improvised.
Very short test with my brand new Superior 2.0, the drums aren't even mixed in audio, still in MIDI form and missing some ambient mics. It will get much better when I know what I'm doing. Sorry for the Godsmack riff at the end.
My POD wasn't going to work through USB until I restarted my computer, so I said forget it and made a quick song with no guitars instead. It's my Alesis Micron and I programmed acoustic drums as usual because I love them too much to leave them out
Another new one that I started quite awhile ago and finally finished up. Progressive metal and instrumental as always
This is the first non band-related thing I've done in awhile, and unfortunately its still not a song, just a bunch of throw away riffs to play with my new Blackout pickup in the bridge of my 7420. No neck pickup anymore, we'll see how that works...
This is a bunch of disconnected riffs purely for testing thigs. Changed up the guitar tones and mix a little bit, I like the drums, but not so happy with the guitar/bass outcome, probably was a step backwards.
A medley of riffs from Meshuggah's Catch 33 album. I started this awhile ago just as a mixing/guitar tone test, and went through quite a few versions but I think this mix finally came out ok.
Just short idea for now with a different approach to guitar sound (hopefully better) and very different mix than I've done before
This my own reinterpretation of a Meshuggah song. Over at the Mushuggah forums we did a whole album of these. Go check it out, there is some great stuff on there:
