The members of Elite are H. Lee: The Savior, From Indianapolis, IN, and E-Sight AKA Jostey Lavoy: The Visionary, from South Bend, IN. They met in Bloomington through a mutual friend and have been recording music ever since. The Group started as a five-man crew, but not each member shared the same work ethic or love for the music as H.Lee and E-Sight. After a two-year hiatus, they have returned to the studio with intense determination in an effort to reach the spot that they know they deserve.
Why this name?
The name was chosen because it us descriptive of the group. Look it up.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet makes it easier for artists like Elite because it is an outlet to people who, otherwise, would not hear what they have to say.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Elite's goals include establishing a major distribution deal. They only motivation to sign with a major would be if they maintained full creative control.
Equipment used:
Currently Elite records in a studio that uses Pro Tools in conjunction with the Digi 002 Rack, an Allen and Heath mixing board, and an MPC. Beats are made on anything from the MTV music generator to the more advanced Triton.
