I'm a crazy Lubbock woman who moved to Tennessee
to become a wealthy songwriter. Good thing I wasn't in any real hurry.

I write and record as I get time. Don't have too much time because I am usually worn out from working my regular job.

Trying to think of a good way to make money that doesn't take all damn day long, so I'd have more time to work on my music. Ideally, I would have a nice staff writing job so that I would have the time to write all of the thousands of songs that come to me. Call all of your buddies at Sony and get me a good deal! Thanks!

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If anyone wants to give me a record deal, just go ahead and email me. I'm working as an EXTERMINATOR! A record deal would be real nice right about now!

Of course, I'm also open to a good staff writing deal. I can write songs all day long when I don't have to work for a living.

Your influences?

I've always been a complete die-hard country music fan.
Devoted to Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Tanya Tucker, John Anderson, and Razzy Bailey.
Of course, that's not even the beginning.
You would have had to know me growing up to get any kind of real idea of how country music was my LIFE.

It's only been in the last few years that I've allowed myself to try to appreciate other kinds of music, like Southern Rock, and some of the Classic Rock stuff. I grew up believing it was a dang near a sin to even
acknowledge that there were other kinds of music. It's funny thinking about it now.

Of course, being from Lubbock, I have to say I was probably about the biggest Maines Brothers Band fan there was all through the eighties. I don't think I missed even one Panhandle Dance, though I never danced. It was great to see a local band be successful on a national level, and exciting to feel like I was contributing to it. Of course, I wasn't, but I thought I was, and it was still exciting. There's been alot of good music come out of Lubbock, and I was always proud to be from there because of it.

Anything else...?

I'm just trying to work now at getting some more songs recorded. I have tons of songs left to record, and lots of half written songs waiting to be finished up. I actually do it all at home on my computer, but I'm needing to get into a real studio so I can have some pitchable demos. I have a good song plugger now, but I really need better demos so that my songs can be pitched to the BIG labels. Let me know if you can help me out with good but CHEAP demos. I'd be willing do trade for vocals or something.

This is what I've done with Band in a Box and Sonar.
