Originally, The Hollers was a two-people-band. We are now a trio:
Max RB (vocals and guitar), Howlin' Sal playing drums and Paco BlackCloud (banjo, bass, piano,wild maracas,)
We play roots garage rock, just like Jeffrey Lee taught us. Amen.
All our stuff is proudly home recorded using 8 tracks of good ol' tape .

Why this name?
The others bandnames were even worse.

Sure. Monkey Week 2009 with A-Bones and King Khang among others.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Easy access to loads of music, some pretty shitty.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We are not getting a contract with a major, not playing this kind of music!
Your influences?
On one hand the greatest of the delta blues: Son House, Bukka White, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Jessica Mae Hemphill..
On the other hand some alt rock bands which are influenced by that kind of blues: Gun Club, Spacemen 3, Mr Airplane Man, Soledad Brothers, Inmortal Lee County Killers, Fat Possum...
