100% PINOY ROCK N' ROLL SERVED WITH SIZZLING ADLIBS AND VOCALS!
Why this name?
"50UZI" is from the dal-lipaoen word "50" which litterary means "half" and "UZI", a shortcut for "yosi", which is a filipino word for smoke. The band name was derived from a "taong-grasa" who walks around the small rockin' world of Dal-lipaoen, Naguilian, La Union and always asks for a half-cigarette. You'd rather give him a full joint of cigarette but think again, he'll throw the joint in your face and might run after you shouting:"I ONLY WANT MY 50UZI!"
Do you play live?
Yes we play live. Local bars, festivals and anywhere else we can possibly rock! We freakinly love playing hard, heavy and live!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet helps promote any song written by anyone who enjoys developing his own ideas and share it to anyone who gets interested to what he does.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sign a record contract? ANYTIME MAN!!!
