Hi. My name is Ian Morabito. I was born February 21, 1987, and I play the piano. When I'm not playing piano, I'm making movies and playing video games. I reflect my love of film, television and Nintendo via my music, which consists of every video game, movie and t.v. tune I can pick out on my good ol' piano.
Why this name?
It is a hybrid of the word "Cinema," which is a reference to the film industry, and "Man," which is a reference to my species, the Homo-Sapiens. Deep stuff, I know.
Do you play live?
I play live in my home or at any piano I can find at a store, restaurant, or other home. I enjoy playing live as long as there is someone who notices and does not want to evict me from the general area.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For the consumer, the internet has made professionally produced (or not) music more easily accessible than ever before, which can result in newfound support for music that would previously have gone overlooked (score one for me!)
For the producers of music, it is becoming increasingly more important to make their music available online, as there are constantly fewer people going to record stores to buy music. Though, as an aspiring movie director, I frown upon illegally downloading movies and music, I do not believe that it will ever jeopardize the profitability of the entertainment industry as a whole.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'm not interested in a career in music. My priorities are in film.
Band History:
I have played the piano since I was five years old. Until I was fourteen, I regularly took lessons, and I have since played piano for the occassional bit of fun, picking out anything I hear on t.v., or, more likely, a video game.
Your influences?
Video games and jazz. If it has a clearly defined melody, I can play it on one of the most universal instruments known to Cineman, the piano.
Favorite spot?
San Clemente, California. It's where I was born and raised, and it remains the nicest place I have ever been to. Two words-the beach.
Equipment used:
One piano. Yep, that's it.
Anything else...?
I am a fanatic for video games. I don't participate in the "gaming wars," I just play whatever's good.

Likes: Lost, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Harry Potter books, Super Smash Bros., Resident Evil, Action movies, Comedies.

Dislikes: Irresponibility, death, the "Apple Crowd," the "XBox Crowd," the "Musical Theater Crowd," swiss cheese.
