There is more than just FBI standoffs, NeoNazis, Unabombers, and potatoes in Idaho, although that sound heard rolling off the hills is probably something that would disturb this diverse group of examples.

Transplanted from Chicago in 1998, the Reverend Rob's music has continued to enchant, confuse, and irritate a wide range of intriguing souls.

Not particularly interested in commercial gain, allavailable tracks are free for download without restriction. Consider this "open source" music; you may use it in your own compositions in any manner, as long as notice is posted that portions were used and the artist is notified.

Should you wish to purchase an audio CD, throw a donation his way, comment on the music, or book a gig, please contact the Reverend at reverendrob@realm-of-shade.com
Why this name?
I started off in a "no ego" experimental music band, and from there, the alias just stuck.
Do you play live?
I used to play live with a wide range of artists, but I don't particularly like the music business, and am quite frankly happier recording in many instances.

I have no aversion to playing live; I rather enjoy it - but I absolutely despise having to try to get club owners to give experimental music a chance.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Hell if I know.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Like anyone would sign what I'm doing to a major label.
Band History:
Been playing since 1994, and released numerous records.
Your influences?
Influences include classical oddities, Neil Young with vocoder on the sadly overlooked "Trans", Can, Floyd, Marillion, Devil Bell Hippies, WhiteHouse.
Favorite spot?
Idaho
Equipment used:
Old 80s rack mount delays with modulators, ebow, electric guitar, childrens keyboards, Fender amplification, and divers.
